The small premium sedan segment is becoming a very popular choice for new car buyers. Especially in the USA and China this segment has increased its importance significantly since the new Mercedes-Benz CLA, Buick Verano, Acura ILX and Auid A3. However, Volvo has had a sedan offering in this segment before but they discontinued it in the last redesign.
It looks like the new Volvo S40 will be introduced next year with many design features found on the new XC90, S90 and V90
