Rumours say that Opel wants to offer an affordable, long-range all-electric vehicle designed for more than 200 miles of range. This car should be priced around €25.000-€30.000. This will be competing against the Nissan Leaf, BMW i3, Renault Zoe and Mitsubishi i-Miev.
The small EV of Opel will be based on the American Chevrolet Bolt EV and both will be built in the GM Orion plant. Opel could take the name “Trixx”, which was years ago a small city EV concept of Opel.
